Star Ridge Stables sends our condolences, as famed SC horse show judge Jimmy Wofford lost his battle with cancer last week. This is a huge loss for the horse world and he will be missed by many.
	Introducing Susie Cain Dressage at Star Ridge Stables! Having learned dressage as an adult enables Susie to better explain and answer questions about feel and address issues of balance and timing. Knowing that basic dressage schooling is the foundation of any riding discipline, Susie has helped dressage, hunter and event riders improve their technique and scores. She teaches in a positive atmosphere whereby both students and horses are stimulated, relaxed and happy. Suzie will be available at Star Ridge once monthly and can be reached at 803.979.2960. 	Boarding & Lessons Update Star Ridge Stables is now offering pasture board for $225/month. Pasture board includes hay and use of the facility. The summer riding lesson session has started and runs now through Aug 7. It is a 10 week session. If you want to pay for the session in full, you will pay for only 8 out of the 10 weeks. This gives you 2 weeks not to make up if you are going out of town. Lessons are taught in the Hunter/Jumper discipline, rain or shine. Star Ridge Stables offers a full horse management program so rain days are used to teach important "class room" information. Summer Group lessons are being discounted to only $25/ lesson. Cost would be Private: Long $440, Short $360; Semi Private $360; Group $200. You can also pay as you go Cost would be Private: Long $60/lesson, Short $50/lesson; Semi Private $50/lesson; Group $35/lesson. Click here to email Stella about Summer session. With Maggie helping to run camp I will be available for morning lessons. The morning lesson times during the week can be as early as 6:30/7:00AM but no later then 9:00AM due to the heat. I will be offering some evening lessons starting no earlier then 6:00/6:30. Saturday morning lessons will be available as well when we are in town.
